The Iguaçu Falls are situated in Parque Nacional Foz do Iguaçu, which is a frontier between Brazil and Argentina. With its river basin that extends over some 62,000 km2, Iguaçu Falls are considered among the world´s natural wonders that contain the vast pluvial forests that benefit from humidity in the proximity of the falls. Once there, you will find yourself in the midst of abundant flora and fauna. The Falls house diverse species of amphibians, fish, mammals, including the jaguar, ocelot, capybara and giant river otter as well as a variety of reptiles, bird species and colorful mixture of butterflies.
The best time of the year to visit Iguaçu Falls is between August and November which is the period of least risk of flood. Of course, you should go there to appreciate every wonderful display of nature that the Falls offer. Come to Brazil and see a piece of paradise!
